Car Repair Service in Austin and Good Drivers

posted on
In our last post, we took a look at types of drivers you will encounter in Austin. Actually, they are drivers you will encounter just about anywhere in the United States, except, perhaps, the fictional town of Mayberry, circa 1962.

But just as there are bad drivers on the road, there are good drivers on the roads of Austin as well. After all, Mayberry does not have the market cornered on good drivers.

After reading about the horrible drivers you encounter on the road, it will be refreshing to learn about the decent drivers you encounter. Groovy Automotive, your car repair service in Austin, is happy to present you with the types of drivers we all hope to encounter on the road.

The Kind Driver

This is the type of driver who is consistently nice, even when they have to pull in front of you for safety reasons or have to pass you because you are moving too slowly.

They are easy to spot because they are always politely waving at other drivers for whatever reason. You will notice that they are always smiling and would never use harsh language, honk their horn or flash a rude gesture.

Just one word of caution; should you get behind the kind driver, expect to arrive late to your destination. This is because kind drivers always let others in front of them, always stop for pedestrians crossing the street, wherever they happen to be crossing and will brake for any animal larger than a small mouse.

The Pop Star

The pop star is a nice driver, just like the kind driver, but they are also more full of energy.

The pop star is the driver who has their music blaring, but not too loudly, and they are gleefully singing along with whomever they happen to be listening to. Of course, in most cases, they are listening to the latest from Beyonce, Pink or Taylor Swift.

The only problem with pop star drivers is that they tend to get a bit distracted at red lights and may miss it when they turn green because they are likely belting out a high note with their heads turned and eyes closed.

The Retiree

We don’t understand why old people drive so slowly. You would think there is a sense of urgency to get wherever they are going as they don't have all the time in the world anymore.

Nevertheless, retirees maintain a steady pace, though usually well under the speed limit, and they are totally focused on the road. This is probably because they have a hard time seeing it.

Though they might be slow drivers and drivers who don't see so well, they are safe drivers who will never cut you off, purposefully that is.

One word of caution when encountering a retiree driver is to honk the horn to make sure they can see you and are aware that you are there and never get behind them or you will never reach your destination in good time.
