Question: How do I winterize my car?

Answer: You can winterize your car by using the following methods:

• Change your antifreeze – this keeps water from freezing in your radiator, and your engine
• Change your radiator hoses – this keeps them from breaking in the cold, since cold temperatures cause contraction.
• Check your serpentine belt – like your hoses, they contract in the cold, and checking them makes sure they are in tip-top shape
• Check your battery – cold weather kills batteries, so get the battery life checked so that it doesn’t die on you
